Millenium Golf club has conventional par-72 course opened in the year 2000, although the completely refurbished back nine holes - formerly part of the 27-hole Laguna Course - had been completed in their original configuration a decade before.

The refurbishment and the totally new outward half were both designed by renowned golf architects, Hawtree. These new holes are part of the Millennium golf course and wander amongst the parkland of pine tress that are often found on the coast in the Algarve.

The course is a pleasure to play with subtle with few very tricky situations except for possibly the the par-3 sixth with its lake on the left of the fairway waiting for errant balls. The two nines of the Millennium golf course complement each other handsomely and have strong traits of Martin Hawtree's traditional architectural style.

The new nine holes are located west of the clubhouse which has also been extended and renovated and will accommodate players and visitors to both the Laguna Golf and Millennium Golf courses. The terrain is partially open; similar to that of the original 27 holes, whereas the remainder meanders through attractive pine trees so the fairways tend to be narrow, placing a premium on accurate play.
