CampoReal Resort is located in the heart of Portugal in the enchantingly rural "Oeste" (west) region, near Torres Vedras, just a 30-minute drive from Lisbon and 15 minutes from the beaches. CampoReal Golf is already known as a exciting residential, golf and leisure development. The name translates literally as "the Royal Meadow" and was inspired by the first Kings of Portugal who used the area as their personal hunting ground.

Donald Steel designed the 18-hole golf course. The facility includes a Club House consisting of a reception, bar restaurant, golf shop and other golf services. The course covers an area of 55 hectares and is surrounded entirely by well-appointed buggy paths.

CampoReal Golf Club will have a luxury 5 star hotel adjoining the course, which is currently under construction and is due to open in 2007. It will be operated by the much-respected Starwood Hotels, under the Westin Hotels & Resorts brand. Additional facilities will include a Spa, tennis academy, and a modern equestrian centre.
